My Top 3 Protein Smoothies

Hey friends!  As the days start to get warmer, I like to change up my breakfast routine to protein smoothies.  I love all the varieties of a smoothie!  Everything from chocolate and peanut butter, to blueberry and even spinach.  The possibilities are endless!   A smoothie is so quick and easy and portable.  Some of them even taste like a milkshake.  Having a smoothie in the morning is also a great way to get sneak some protein in your diet.  I am going to share my three of my favorites.  These are off of my meal plan that my macro coach Tara Frazier customizes for me.  Each one contains approximately 20 grams of protein, 4-5 grams of fat and 26 grams of carbs.

Lean Green Yogurt Shake

1 cup of ice

170 grams of nonfat greek yogurt (I use the individual containers of Fage 0% fat greek yogurt)

Handful of spinach

70 grams of pear

40 grams of grapes

30 grams of avocado

10 grams of PB 2 fit (powdered peanut butter. usually in the same aisle as regular peanut butter)

100 ml of unsweetened almond milk

(you could add in a scoop of your favorite protein powder if you are not a fan of greek yogurt)

Banana Berry

1 cup of ice

100 ml of unsweetened almond milk

50 ml of water

1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (vanilla would be perfect)

75 grams of banana

100 grams of strawberries

12 grams of peanut butter

This one seriously tastes like a milkshake!

Mocha Frapp

1 cup of ice

100 ml of almond milk

60 ml of of Sugar Free Flavored Coffee Mate

90 ml of unsweetened iced coffee

1 scoop of protein powder (I use chocolate here)

90 grams of banana

Hope this gives you some new ideas for breakfast!  Let me know of your favorite breakfast in the comments!
