Healthy Taco Bowl

This is a meal you can prepare in minutes!  This is perfect on those busy weeknights.   You can double this recipe and have it for lunch the next day.

1 pound of ground turkey (I use the 93% lean) If you don’t like turkey you can use ground beef just make sure it is 98% lean

1 Taco Seasoning pack

True Lime Cilantro Garlic seasoning (this stuff is so good! you can buy it here)

1 pack of jasmine rice (I love the Mahatma Cilantro Lime)

Shredded lettuce, fat free shredded cheese, fat free sour cream (or Fage 0% greek yogurt), salsa and pico de gallo.

Heat a saucepan over medium heat.  Add the meat and cook until brown.  Add the taco seasoning pack and a few shakes of the True Lime seasoning.  Add 1 tablespoon of water.  Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

While the meat is cooking, heat the rice in the microwave for 90 seconds.  Drain the meat and then begin to build your bowl!

I like the put the rice in first.  Then add the turkey.  Top that with lettuce, pico de gallo, salsa, cheese and a dollop of sour cream.  I like to enjoy this meal with a mocktail margarita.  All you need is a cute glass, ice, sparkling water and a half a packet of Margaritaville flavor packet.
